Poets for Gaza is a virtual reading featuring writers, cultural organizers, practitioners, philosophers and liberation theologians from Abya Yala and beyond.

This edition’s poets include Sapphic Fire, Kevanté AC Cash, Jesi "Rocki" Taylor, Imogen Xtian Smith, C. Rivera, and Alma Valdez-Garcia. We invite you to slow down, come spend time in community, and let their words replenish you.

Tickets are a sliding-scale donation of $15-25, which will benefit our comrade Khalil Zeyara and The Sameer Project.

Khalil and his family are living and surviving in northern Gaza. The home he lived in for 14 years was destroyed and exists in the buffer zone the occupation has created, meaning they cannot return. In the meantime, they have found an apartment to rent along with other displaced families. Proceeds from this reading will go to help his family and the other tenants rebuild and sustain the building's infrastructure.

Translating Falasteen (Palestine), in collaboration with The Sameer Project, launched a fundraising campaign to support families in Northern Gaza. Proceeds from this reading will go to their North and Central Gaza fund to help them supply daily water trucks and community kitchens for refugees where foreign aid is not currently reaching.
