2/1 (in person, NYC) 12-3 - Bridgil for Palestine in Brooklyn over the Prospect Expressway (NY Irish 4 Palestine & Irish Americans for Palestine)

Saturday, February 1, from 12-3pm - Prospect Park West, (between 18th and 19th - over Prospect expressway)

Join us for a Bridgil for Palestine in Brooklyn.

We remain dedicated to the Palestinian cause and understand the work is not done until Palestine is free. We call on fellow NYC residents to hold a bridge vigil and demand that the United States, the State Government of New York, and the European Union end their support for the zionist entity, hold zionist war criminals accountable for their crimes against humanity, and end the illegal apartheid state forced upon the people of Palestine.

On this day in particular, just two days after the anniversary of Bloody Sunday, we call on our fellow Irish Americans to join us in solidarity with the Palestinian people. On January 30, 1972, thousands of people gathered in Derry to protest internment without trial and were met with state violence. Thirteen young activists were murdered by the British government. We remember their courageous actions, we remind Irish Americans of their ancestors’ centuries-long resistance against imperial forces, and we renew our commitment to the liberation of Palestine and all oppressed and occupied peoples.
