JOIN US TO READ FICTION AND NON-FICTION FROM PALESTINIAN AUTHORS!

October's selection is: Perfect Victims: And the Politics of Appeal by Mohammed El-Kurd. (Available for purchase in-store and online for $17.95.)

Join the “Voices from Palestine” book group as we read to learn more about the lives, history and rich stories of the Palestinian people. Whether it's reading El-Kurd's powerful essays on breaking down colonial logic and recapturing the narrative, a story of a family pre-nakba in Mornings in Jenin, the heart-wrenching poems of Darwish, or the political writings of Kanafani, readers will get a window inside the minds of great Palestinian writers and explore the essence of Palestine. More than ever, Palestine has been an unavoidable point of intrigue, and this book club will act as a space for those who wish to learn more and empower them.

This group will meet on the first Monday of every month from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in-person in the DEN Coffeehouse alcove space.
