Dr. Muhtaseb is a professor of media studies at California State University, San Bernardino. She specializes in digital media and online social movements and is the co-founder of the Gaza xReal project. She has conducted fieldwork in the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, Syria and Palestine and has spent 10 years making an award-winning documentary on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, 1948: Creation & Catastrophe.
