Join JVP for Yom Kippur  

Please join Jewish Voice for Peace VT/NH for a day of fasting, reflection and ritual on our most sacred day of Yom Kippur. We will gather on the Statehouse Lawn in Montpelier. This sacred time demands that we recommit to stopping the genocide in Palestine and towards a future of freedom and safety for Palestinians. Like our ancestors before us, as Jews we are committed to ending oppression and struggling for a world where all humans are safe and free.  

We are calling all Vermonters of conscience to join us, fasting in solidarity with Palestinians who don’t have the choice of whether or not to fast. Palestinians are currently in a state of forced starvation, at the hands of the Israeli government and the complicit U.S. government. We will not be silent. We will come together with our beloved community to reflect, atone and recommit to the hard work of collective liberation.  

We will hold services and an evening breakfast as well as grief circles, poetry, storytelling, song, art, reading, and reflection. Please join us and invite your organization, members, community, comrades, beloveds, family, and friends!
