Hisham Sharabi Memorial Lecture with Dr. Fida Adely and Dr. Edmund Ghareeb
By The Jerusalem Fund
Founded by Hisham Sharabi and colleagues, Georgetown’s Center for Contemporary Arab Studies (CCAS) marks its 50th anniversary this year.
The 2025 Hisham Sharabi Memorial Lecture honors the vision and intellectual legacy of Dr. Hisham Sharabi, whose work as a scholar, activist, and founder continues to shape Arab studies and advocacy today. This year, as the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies (CCAS) at Georgetown University, founded by Sharabi and his colleagues, marks its 50th anniversary, we are proud to partner with CCAS to reflect on that enduring impact. We are honored to host Dr. Fida Adely, Director of CCAS, and The Jerusalem Fund’s Senior Scholar, Dr. Edmund Ghareeb, for a discussion that pays tribute to Sharabi’s lifelong commitment to advancing critical scholarship and fostering dialogue on Arab society, politics, and culture.
This event is open to the public and will be live-streamed on Zoom and our social media channels.
