In this time of great unraveling, our new film Mauri: The Vital Essence in All Beings offers a pathway back into connection — to land, to lineage, and to each other.
Mauri is a Māori word that speaks to the vital essence in all beings, the life force that flows through land, water, people, and all living things. It is the pulse of existence itself, the vibration that connects us in the great web of life.
The second in our Wisdom of the Ancestors 12-film series, Mauri weaves ceremony, story, and song to reveal how Māori Elders and healers are tending to the wounds of colonization and guiding a collective journey of reconnection and remembrance.
