A message from Jessie Qumsiyeh for the Palestine Institute for Biodiversity & Sustainability (PIBS) & the Palestine Museum of Natural History (PMNH)

Mazin and I have returned to Palestine after 38 productive days speaking and visiting England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland, and the United States New England area. We thank so many of you who organized speaking events, accommodated us, drove us to places, networked and fundraised for us, and attended the talks. We reunited with old friends and made many new ones who are getting this invitation for the first time. 

If you are receiving this message for the first time, we are pleased to inform you that we have been holding monthly virtual meetups on the first Saturday of each month since July 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic to provide updates of the activities at the Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability and the challenges we faced. We have kept this monthly virtual forum since then.

Our next (#54) monthly virtual meetup will take place on Saturday, 4 January 2025 at 8 PM Palestine (EET) / 7 PM CET / 6 PM GMT / 1 PM EST / 10 AM PST.  We will review PIBS activities for the past month (December 2024) during the first hour. In the second hour, Mazin will speak about what to look for in 2025 on the political situation.  Here is the meeting link:
