Film Screening & Discussion “Where Should the Birds Fly?”
Join DC for Palestine and PYM DMV on Sunday, January 26th at 4:30pm for a joint monthly film screening and discussion series! This month we will be watching and reflecting upon the film, “Where Should the Birds Fly?”
"Where Should the Birds Fly?" showcases the struggle that Palestinians go through to live normal lives under brutal military occupation and captures the struggles of the filmmaker Fida Qishta and the 11-year-old Mona al Samouni, to maintain humanity, humor, hope and a sense of normalcy under the zionist military occupation that attempts to rob them of all of it. We also see how the effects of war don’t stop once the bombs stop falling, lingering for years and generations to come.
We look forward to watching the film together and engaging in an exchange of ideas and reflections.
