Indigenous representatives from the seven socio-cultural regions convened the Indigenous Summit on Just Transition in Geneva in October 2024 to discuss our perspectives, knowledge, and lived experiences related to Just Transition. π
Indigenous leaders reached a unanimous agreement on defining a Just Transition that was captured in a document, outlining 11 guiding principles that state and corporate actors must follow to respect Indigenous Rights and foster true sustainability. π±
