Each year, the American Federation of Ramallah, Palestine (AFRP) organizes a 2-week immersive trip to Ramallah where participants complete a service project for the city. Unfortunately, due the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people and the instability in the region, Project Hope will not be taking place in Ramallah this year. Instead, Project Hope will join forces with the AFRP Day of Action, an annual summit in Washington, DC, where dedicated young adults from across the country convene to advocate for Palestinian human rights on Capitol Hill and build power within the Palestinian American community. Participants will be able to take part in a dedicated service project and cultural educational programs that maintain the spirit of Project Hope, as well as have the opportunity to meet directly with Members of Congress and their staffers to voice their concerns over Israel's ongoing occupation and human rights violations, and advocate for the advancement of legislation and policy that holds Israel accountable and defends Palestinians' rights.
Participants are encouraged to become involved in and seek out leadership roles within the AFRP.
