Join The People’s Forum for a live-streamed evening of hope, solidarity, and building the future! Latin America Speaks: Solidarity Vs. Empire will include powerful dialogue from those leading the world towards peace and a better future.
We will hear from the Foreign Minister of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parilla, the Foreign Minister of Venezuela, Yván Gil Pinto, Executive Director of the Tricontinental Institute for Social Research, Vijay Prashad, Organizer with the Palestinian Youth Movement, Lameess Mohammed, and Executive Director of the People’s Forum, Manolo De Los Santos. The Program will include a special performance by the world-renowned Cuban children’s theater company & UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, La Colmenita.
In these challenging times of social, economic and climate crisis, US imperialism continues on a warpath across the planet, organizing coups, invasions and imposing sanctions. Yet, Latin America offers a beacon of hope through solidarity. Countries like Cuba and Venezuela demonstrate alternative development models based on cooperation and mutual aid, from sending doctors worldwide to offering scholarships to the poor of the global south.
This event celebrates the ties between people’s movements and organizations in the United States and Latin America, fostering a shared vision for the future based on solidarity. Don't miss this unique opportunity to engage with leaders advocating for anti-imperialism and people's democracy.
The event will be streamed live via BreakthroughNews on Youtube here.
