π£π£π£ Rally and Teach-In at the Chevron Government Affairs Office π£π£π£
Friday 9/27, 4:30 - 7:30 pm - Chevron Government Affairs Office
600 13th St NW # 600, Washington, DC
TAKE ACTION
Join us this Friday to answer the global call from the BDS movement to take action against Chevron. We will rally at the Chevron lobbying office and call out their complicity in the genocide of Palestinians and the global climate crisis. After the Noise Demo/rally, stay for a teach-in to learn about the role of boycotts, divestments, and sanctions (BDS) and the global BDS movement in the Palestine struggle. The location is accessible via the metro (one block from Metro Center station) and there are several parking garages in the vicinity.
WHY CHEVRON?
Chevronβs extraction of fossil fuels in Palestine generates billions of dollars in revenue, profiting off the ongoing genocide of 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza. Since acquiring Noble Gas in 2020, Chevron has played a significant role in Israel's unjust and illegal occupation of Palestinian land, in both Gaza and the West Bank. Through settler-colonialism, apartheid, and military occupation, Chevron aids Israelβs control over Palestinian land. The destruction of natural resources has led to unprecedented environmental devastation in Palestine and the Mediterranean region at large.
WHAT SHOULD WE DO?
As individual consumers, we have the power to demand change and accountability of large corporations like Chevron. We are calling on supporters of Palestinian/human rights and climate justice to escalate pressure on Chevron by boycotting Chevron-owned gas stations and protesting Chevron locations. By refusing to buy gas from the thousands of Chevron, Texaco, and Caltex gas and petrol stations worldwide, we can resist the colonial violence of Chevronβs extraction and take a stand against environmental destruction and grave human rights violations.
Boycott Chevron. Fight for Environmental Justice for All. Free Palestine!
