Having Successful Conversations on Palestine and Israel with Alex McDonald
Alex McDonald, joining virtually from Houston, will discuss how to become more comfortable and capable of having productive conversations with Israel supporters who ask, “Do you believe Israel has a right to exist?” Are you fearful of being accused of antisemitism?
Bring experiences and fears to the discussion and learn ways to gain strength and confidence while connecting with others, build relationships with your conversation partners and potentially create space for learning. Presentation followed by Q&A. All are welcome.
Alex McDonald is the author of: When They Speak Israel: A Guide to Clarity in Conversations about Israel by Alex McDonald: Compare Prices on New & Used Copies | Alibris and How I Learned to Speak Israel: An American's Guide to a Foreign Policy – Middle East Books and More
Alex is an organizer with the Gaza Freedom Flotilla, co-founder of the Texas Coalition for Human Rights, has presented to the Texas Council for Social Studies on the Israel/Palestine issue and is a member of Live Oak Friends Meeting in Houston.
