This is an opportunity to hear directly from those on the ground who are bravely confronting annexation and settler violence. Join us to hear from CfP's Israeli and Palestinian activists:
Sayel Jabareen: An activist from Ramallah, Sayel serves as Combatants for Peace’s Palestinian Campaigns Manager. His role involves co-leading work on the ground efforts and advocating for peace and justice for all.
Itamar Feigenbaum: A member of CfP's Israeli Board of Directors, Itamar is an Israeli activist supporting shepherding communities in the northern Jordan Valley affected by settler violence.
Elie Avidor: A former combatant in the Yom Kippur War, Elie now focuses on nonviolently working to end the occupation and supports Palestinian communities in the Jordan Valley as an Israeli CfP activist.
Jamil Qassas: A Palestinian refugee whose family was displaced from their village in 1948, Jamil grew up in Dheisheh refugee camp and endured the harsh realities of the occupation during the First Intifada. Having lost his brother, mother, and many friends to the conflict, Jamil’s early experiences as a combatant evolved into a deeper understanding of the cycle of violence. He is now the Palestinian General Coordinator of CfP and believes that nonviolent resistance is the only path forward.
Carly Rosenthal: The event’s moderator, Carly moved from Melbourne to Jerusalem in 2018 and now resides in Jaffa. With nearly a decade of anti-occupation and peace activism, Carly has been with Combatants for Peace since March 2024.
We hope you will come engage with those at the forefront of nonviolent resistance and gain firsthand insights into this critical work. Learn how you can contribute to a shared vision for just peace.
