ARE YOU INTERESTED IN LEARNING ABOUT THE CONFLICT IN THE HOLY LAND?
NEW DATES! Join us for four sessions to learn about the history and context of the current crisis in Israel/Palestine. COME TO ANY OR ALL SESSIONS - FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!
Meetings will be held at the Plymouth Library, 132 South Street, Plymouth, MA in the 1st floor Craft Room on September 18 (6:45 – 8:00 PM), October 2 (7:15 – 8:30 PM), October 9 (6:45 – 8:00 PM), and October 16 (6:45 – 8:00 PM).
These discussions about the historical context will be based on the book Steadfast Hope: the Palestinian Quest for Just Peace, published by the Israel/Palestine Mission Network of the Presbyterian Church (IPMN) in partnership with the Episcopalian Church. (Copies of this 48 pg book will be available to borrow or to purchase at cost for $5.Used copies can also easily be found by searching online)
Steadfast Hope challenges common myths and misperceptions about the origins of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and contains an inspiring view of actions currently being undertaken by Christian, Jewish, and Muslim peacemakers working for justice and reconciliation.
Discussions will include challenges that are ongoing in the quest for peace, with suggestions and guidance on how the cause of a just peace can be achieved for the people who share the Holy Land, perhaps helped by people like you!
This series of four discussion meetings will be facilitated by Jan, a Board member of IfAmericansKnew.org and Ann, manager of the New England Network for Justice for Palestine (NENJP.org) Calendar of events and actions.
Space is limited! To RSVP and for any questions, please contact Jan & Ann at PeaceWithJustice.Plymouth@gmail.com
