Through The Lens of Genocide: A Discussion on Antisemitism and Zionism with Omer Bartov organized by IfNotNow
Join IfNotNow and HLS Tzedek on Sunday, September 15th from 1:30-3:30PM for the second in a series of workshops grappling with antisemitism in the wake of October 7th. Focusing on the connection between antisemitism and genocide, this event will feature a talk by Omer Bartov, a professor at Brown University and decorated historian of holocaust history. Dr. Bartov's most recent book, Genocide, The Holocaust and Israel-Palestine: First-Person History in Times of Crisis, considers the links between the fate of Jews in World War II and the plight of Palestinians during and in the aftermath of the establishment of the state of Israel. Following the talk, attendees will be given the opportunity to ground themselves in the important content of this lecture through a Q&A and discussion groups—as part of our ongoing journey for collective liberation.
