Alexandria City funds are being invested in companies like Caterpillar, Citibank, and Barclays. These companies uphold apartheid, occupation and genocide in Palestine. On top of that, our tax dollars fund the Virginia Israel Advisory Board, a business promotion entity embedded in our state government. This board funnels millions of dollars towards Israeli businesses operating in VA, diverting millions in economic incentives away from Virginians. Thanks to VIAB, IAI and Elbit Systems, two of the most lethal weapons companies involved in the atrocities in Palestine, are operating here in our home state. VIAB pressures VA lawmakers and local businesses into unconditional support for Israel.
