Virginia SJP Statewide “Keffiyeh Day” - Thursday, September 12 📣
On Thursday, September 12, @nationalsjp has called for a Day of Action, and we are answering the call! Join us as we unite across Virginia in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for freedom and justice. We invite you to wear your keffiyeh to show your support for Palestine and the ongoing fight for liberation.
The keffiyeh is more than a symbol – it represents the resilience, strength, and unwavering spirit of the Palestinian people in their struggle against oppression.
We, the students of Virginia, are rising up. We will not be silent in the face of injustice. We demand that our schools disclose their financial ties and investments in companies that support Israel’s occupation and apartheid. We call for immediate divestment from these entities that profit from human rights violations. We will not stop, we will not rest until the people of Palestine are free. This is just the beginning of a new wave of resistance, led by students who refuse to turn a blind eye to apartheid and occupation.
Whether you’re on a college campus, in high school, or middle school, your voice matters. This day of action is open to all students across Virginia – not just college and university students. Let’s come together and show that youth and students everywhere are ready to stand up for justice!
Spread the word. Wear your keffiyeh. Share your photos with the hashtag #VASJPKeffiyehDay to show your solidarity and join this powerful movement for change. Together, we rise. Together, we resist. Together, we fight for freedom.
