9/11 (in person, Plymouth MA) 6:45pm - 4 Session Discussion Group to Learn More About Palestine @ Plymouth MA Public Library

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN LEARNING ABOUT THE CONFLICT IN THE HOLY LAND?

Join us for four sessions to learn about the history and context of the current crisis in Israel/Palestine!

Meetings will be held at the Plymouth Library, 132 South Street, Plymouth, MA on September 11 (6:45 – 8:00 PM), September 18 (6:45 – 8:00 PM), October 2 (7:15 – 8:30 PM), and October 9 (6:45 – 8:00 PM)

These discussions about the historical context will be based on the book Steadfast Hope: the Palestinian Quest for Just Peace, published by the Israel/Palestine Mission Network of the Presbyterian Church (IPMN) in partnership with the Episcopalian Church. (Copies of this 48 pg book will be available to borrow or to purchase at cost for $5) (it’s also available used from several online sources: Steadfast Hope : The Palestinian Quest for Just Peace, Episcopal 9781450787406 | eBay)

Steadfast Hope challenges common myths and misperceptions about the origins of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and contains an inspiring view of actions currently being undertaken by Christian, Jewish, and Muslim peacemakers working for justice and reconciliation.

Discussions will include challenges that are ongoing in the quest for peace, with suggestions and guidance on how the cause of a just peace can be achieved for the people who share the Holy Land, perhaps helped by people like you!

This series of four discussion meetings will be facilitated  by Jan, a Board member of IfAmericansKnew.org  and Ann, manager of the New England Network for Justice for Palestine (NENJP.org) Calendar of events and actions.

Space is limited! To RSVP and for any questions, please contact Jan & Ann at PeaceWithJustice.Plymouth@gmail.com

PS If you can’t make the first session, please join for the remaining 3 - you can always catch up
