Columbia University Health Sciences for Palestine (CUHSP) invites you to an expert panel discussion on the public health crisis in Gaza.
Featuring:
Professor Ghassan Abu-Sittah. Dr. Abu-Sittah is a British-Palestinian plastic and reconstructive surgeon and the Rector of the University of Glasgow. He has worked as a war surgeon in numerous conflict zones including Syria, Yemen, Iraq, South Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.
Doctor Sarah Aly. Dr. Aly is an emergency medicine physician at Yale University with an interest in emergency medicine in the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) region. She is a contributing author of “Crisis in Gaza: scenario-based health impact projections.”
Professor Jess Ghannam. Professor Ghannam is Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Global Health Sciences at UCSF and a co-founder of the Anti-Palestinian Racism Research Group. He conducts research on trauma in the MENA Region and has worked in Gaza for over 25 years establishing mental health clinics.
Professor Jeffrey Sachs. Professor Sachs is an economist, bestselling author, educator, and global leader in sustainable development. He is the director of the Columbia Center for Sustainable Development.
