Monday, August 5 at 9AM, 2nd Court Date - 11 of the 13 students and community members wrongfully arrested during an absolutely vicious and brutal attack by police on April 29th, 2024 face trial for exercising their right to free speech to demand divestment from Israel and for standing up for the liberation of Palestine. Virginia State Police, Richmond City Police, Capitol Police, and VCU Police came dressed in full riot gear at the beckoning call of VCU to terrorize young people, most of whom attend VCU as students, by tear gassing, pepper spraying, and beating them with police shields. Scores were injured, and for what? For exercising their right to free speech? For standing up against injustice? SHAME!!!
