Matzpen was the name of a revolutionary socialist and anti-Zionist organization, founded in Israel in 1962 which was active until the 1980s. Most of Matzpen's members were Israeli born, coming from the deep core of Israeli Jewish society. The film (54 min) reflects on their fight against Zionism and the occupation through the eyes of some of the organization's prominent figures, their ideas, opinions and activities, then and today, as well as their contacts with Palestinian and European left-wing activists. We'll use this as an invitation to discuss allyship, the ethics of resistance, movement strategy, and Jewish anti-Zionism. Dinner is provided.
