🚨DMV ALL OUT FOR THE STUDENT INTIFADA🚨
After mass arresting and brutalizing students, suspending pro-Palestine students and student organizations, and pursuing criminal law fare against those arrested at Shuhada Square, GW’s administration has buckled to months of community pressure and accepted student’s conditions for negotiations.
The negotiations will resume soon, as students push George Washington University to accept these five demands:
1. Drop all charges and sanctions against Pro-Palestine students and student organizations
2. Protect pro-Palestine speech and organizing on campus. End the unlawful discrimination against Palestinian political expression.
3. Divest from all companies selling technology, weapons, and logistics to fuel genocide in Gaza
4. Disclose all of GW’s investments and funding sources
5. End all academic partnerships with the genocidal settler state of Israel.
For over ten months, we have watched our brothers and sisters in Gaza be massacred by the thousands, murdered by bombs made and shipped by companies funded by universities like GW. And in our city, we have watched GW’s zionist administration unleash the violence of the state against students and non-students alike to protect their bloodstained capital.
This repression is a sign of their weakness. GW knows that a united movement beyond the manufactured borders of campus and community is capable of severing the flows of capital that sustain the genocide of our people. Shuhada Square only affirmed this.
Join us this Thursday the first day of the semester, as negotiations resume, to let GW know that the people of this city continue to demand disclosure and divestment. We continue to demand an end to GW’s attacks on student organizing for the liberation of Palestine. And we will continue to mobilize, organize, and resist until GW and every University in the DMV divests from the genocide of our people and the 76-year occupation of Palestine.
