Summer 2024 is on fire! Welcome to SPARK! Organizing for Revolution: Summer School at The People's Forum, a six-week hybrid course for organizers, visionaries, and all who are committed to struggle to build a new world, which will take place from July 9 to August 15.
An unprecedented mass movement for Palestine has taken the world by storm, igniting a profound shift in the consciousness of millions, while the U.S. ruling class, desperate to maintain its hegemony, is struggling to fulfill its imperialist agenda as it enters a controversial election cycle in the midst of a serious political crisis. The future, uncertain and volatile, holds many dangers but also many opportunities for the working and oppressed class.
One thing is certain – the people of the world demand change. But how does historical and societal change actually occur? What does it mean to be a revolutionary in times of intense political crisis? How do we organize for revolution?
REGISTER TODAY! The registration will remain open throughout the course, but we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible to get all of the information before the start of the course and to get ready for this summer of study.
WHAT IS IT? Bi-weekly classroom sessions, discussion, and revolutionary study. A chance to meet new friends and comrades, study, discuss, debate, and then put theory into practice! The summer school runs from July 9 to August 15. Sessions will be held three times a week – Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week, class are from 6:30 – 8:30 PM ET, and Saturday sessions, which are Saturday Dialogues. Participants with work/life schedules or based in time zones that preclude them from participating live will have access to the recordings and can follow the course at their own pace.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? Everyone from all contexts, backgrounds, and identities is welcome to register! If your organization would like to take the course together on a special track and collectively study and exchange with other groups, email us at education@peoplesforum.org for more info.
