Join us at Friends Place on Capitol Hill or online via Zoom for a conversation about organizing student activism at colleges and universities.

Campus activism has challenged political and social norms to bring peace and justice to the forefront of public consciousness. University and college campuses provide a unique space for people to come together to learn about the world and connect around shared interests. As a result, campuses have been the source of some of the most impactful organizing for social justice in recent U.S. history. This history has laid the foundation for continued efforts amongst students today.  

This event will be a conversation with leaders from campus organizing movements from the past and present. We will be joined by speakers sharing their experiences working on the anti-apartheid movement, the anti-war movement during the U.S. war in Vietnam, the Palestinian liberation movement, and the current movement for a ceasefire and divestment of US support of the war in Gaza.
