Power Research for Divestment: Connecting the Endowment to the Genocide in Gaza
note: Although this event is specific to Yale, it is included because others working towards divestment at their Universities could learn a lot from this discussion
Join divestment organizers and researchers from the Endowment Justice Research Network, power researcher Derek Seidman of LittleSis, and critical university studies scholar Dennis Hogan for a teach-in on researching university endowments on Thursday, July 25th at 7pm. We’ll pull back the curtain on the history of university endowments and empower organizers to uncover information about their own endowments’ connections to occupation, genocide, and more.
This event is convened by the Endowment Justice Research Network, a group of student divestment organizers from across the nation from schools including the University of Michigan, the University of Virginia, Yale, Johns Hopkins, Cornell, Brown, Harvard, Georgia Tech, and more. We perform research on endowments and how they are invested.
We’re more powerful when we work together — register for the teach-in at EJRN Interest form (google.com),
