7/16 (Zoom) 2pm - What's Next for Students and Allies Organizing for Gaza on College Campuses (MPower Change)

Tuesday, July 16, 2:00 PM EDT - Zoom

#StudentsForGaza Meeting - What’s next for students and allies organizing for Gaza on college campuses?

Student actions and encampments across the country have sparked a whole new level of anti-war organizing for Gaza and Palestine.

This spring, thousands of students at about 100 student encampments were met with violent crackdowns.¹ Some administrators played a waiting game until the school year ended.

But we aren’t stopping — we’re organizing.

What’s next for students and allies organizing for Gaza on college campuses?

Student-led organizing has forced many campuses to address divestment from Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestinian land, apartheid, and genocide in Gaza. In some ways, we’re just getting started.

But we need to be prepared for the fight ahead. Join us next week for a much-needed strategy session and meeting. We’ll hear from organizers, and welcome newcomers.

Why?: If you haven’t taken or supported on-campus actions yet, this is a perfect way to get started; if you have, this will let you know you can prepare for the coming months.

How?: RSVP at mpowerchange.org/studentsforgaza and join us.

Organizers will outline the next steps for campaigns and encampments, how to get the resources you need for fall organizing, balancing academics with activism, and more.

P.S. Want to support our work towards justice for all people and against white supremacy and Islamophobia? Sign up for a recurring MPower Change gift now.
