6/7 (in person, Northampton MA) 6:30 PM - Book Event! Navigating Relationships and Building for the Long Haul with Irit Reinheimer (JVP Western MA)

Book Event! Navigating Relationships and Building for the Long Haul. On June 7th, 6:30pm at the Northampton Friends Meeting, JVP Western Mass will host a reading with author Irit Reinheimer @apartment2f in conversation with Dori Midnight @dorimidnight

Irit's book, Push the Water, is an anti-Zionist memoir that weaves together descriptions of archival footage, home movies, and memories that prompt new recognitions of her Jewish family’s participation in settler-colonialism and the occupation of Palestine. This story is about what it means to be claimed by violent forces and what it looks like to refuse that claim, to choose a queer, liberatory belonging instead. In Irit's book you’ll find politics rendered as image, image refracted through memory, and memory bisected by love and rage.

Location and Accessibility: Northampton Friends Meeting (43 Center St., Northampton, MA) The event space is on the second floor with elevator access from the street level—no steps at the entrance. Masks are required, and some will be available at the event.

@pushcartjudaica will be selling books. You can also preorder the book, please email info@pushcartjudica.com for details.
