6/21 (in person, DC) 6:30pm - Tatir Ts'ruah Anti-Zionist Shabbat (JVP DC/Metro & @neuroqueercosmos)

Friday, June 21, 6:30pm - in person at St. Stephens Church, 1525 Newton St., NW, Washington DC

Tatir Tz’ruah Anti-Zionist Shabbat

Join JVP DC/Metro & @neuroqueercosmos for a passionate Jewish ritual to welcome the day of rest. As we raised our voices and made spirited noise in defiance and rage during the week, will raise our voices in praise and song to commemorate Shabbat. Our service will take place in Hebrew, the language that connects Jews in every time and place and whose sound (even when we don’t understand it) gives voice to our inner gratitude and struggles. Transliteration, translation, and explanations of the service are included in our prayerbooks.

Everyone in our community is welcome, from those of us just beginning our Jewish journey to traditionalist lifelong atheist Jews, from “cultural” Jews to Charedim seeking refuge from their Zionist ravs. No prior experience is necessary.

RSVP: Tatir Tz'rurah: An Anti-Zionist Shabbat Service (google.com)

Masking: masks are required during the service. If you forget one, we will provide you with one.
