Dr. Maté will speak with Buddhist teacher Tara Brach on the meaning of spirituality in the face of injustice and suffering. In What is Love Asking from Us? Reflections on Gaza and the Bodhisattva Path, Dr. Maté and Tara Brach will reflect on the importance of compassion, solidarity, and engaged spirituality in responding to the oppression and trauma experienced by the Palestinian people.

Dr. Maté will speak with Israeli historian Ilan Pappé. In Land for Two Peoples: Beyond Zionism to Peace and Justice, they will deconstruct obsolete dogmas while exploring how the principles of universal human rights and international law lead to the logical and ethical conclusion of a unitary, democratic state with equal rights for all people living in the shared lands between the River and the Sea.
