6/15 (in person, PA) 9am start - Peace Walk 2024 - Merchants of Death Tour: Actions at Day and Zimmerman, Israel Bonds, Philly Naval Shipyard + Dinner & Program @ Springfield Friends Meeting

Peace Walk 2024 - Saturday, June 15, the Merchants of Death Tour

  • 9 am: Meet at Day and Zimmerman, war contractor, 1500 Spring Garden St.  We will ask Day and Zimmerman to get out of the war business and convert to civilian production.

  • Drive or walk to Israel Bonds, 1511 Walnut St., Suite 301, to call on State of Pennsylvania to divest from Israel bonds.

  • Drive to Navy Yard

  • 11:30 am: Sendoff event and action, Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, Merchants of Death Tour. We will pass by 10 weapons manufacturers, where walkers will deliver Cease and Desist Orders demanding that they stop making weapons of war that are being used in violation of humanitarian and US law.. 

  • 1 pm: Walk from South and 20th to Springfield Friends Meeting, passing by the VA Hospital.

  • 2 pm: Lunch at Clark Park.

  • 7 pm: Dinner and a Movie, The Most Dangerous Man in America, documentary about antiwar whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg, Springfield Friends Meeting, 1001 Old Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA
