Metanoia: the Change of Mind Which is Brought About in Repentance - Vigil @ Senator Booker’s office
Please join us outside @senbooker 's Newark office as we lament the grievous sin of starving the children of Gaza that we are complicit in.
It has been eight months since the siege of Gaza began, and it has been six weeks since the Rafah crossing was completely shut down by the ground invasion of Israeli forces. Over 4500 trucks filled with aid are sitting waiting to be delivered. Some now contain food that has begun to rot. The floating pier that was supposed to deliver a fraction of the aid necessary has again broken apart due to high surf conditions. And while almost no food aid is getting to a population that experts say will begin to experience life threatening levels of malnutrition and starvation in the hundreds of thousands by mid-July, the US made and paid for weapons are still flowing freely.
The exact location in front of the Market St. entrance of One Gateway. Many bus and train lines have stops in Penn Station which is right across the street. There is metered on street parking on the east side of Penn Station and there are two hourly lots at the corner of Edison and Bruen- also on the east side of Penn Station.
