Our demands for the school committee are:
* Condemn the ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and call for a Ceasefire Now.
* Codify the brave students’ right to protest an ongoing genocide and uphold the previously existing excused attendance policy.
* Recognize “from the river to the sea” as a call for the full rights and freedom of all Palestinians and allow students and staff to use the phrase without disciplinary action.
* Publicly apologize for intimidation and comparison of Somerville high schoolers to white nationalists.
