Since January 8th 2024, we have been coming to City Council to present our resolution calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, calling out Israel’s current and previous long standing violence and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians for over 76 years, naming Israel as an apartheid state, and demanding our tax dollars stop funding genocide.
A City Council member has drafted their own version of a resolution, which some of us have been fighting to have as much accuracy as they will allow, in efforts to call out Israel for what it is—a genocidal, child murdering, apartheid state. We have been at every City Council meeting for the past 6 months and will not stop until Richmond City passes a resolution.
Come out MONDAY 6/10 at 5PM to rally in front of City Hall before the City Council meeting at 6PM. Please come prepared to speak on behalf of Palestine in the event that City Council presents a resolution. Together, let’s continue to remind Richmond City Council there’s NO TWO SIDES TO GENOCIDE.
