Defending Student Activists: Disciplinary Hearings - Training for Faculty and Staff
Facilitated by The National Lawyer’s Guild, Palestine Legal & Scholars Against the War On Palestine
As students across the country are pushing hard for universities to divest from Israel and stop the genocide, college and university administrations are cracking down hard — deploying law enforcement, threatening and enforcing suspensions and expulsions, and pressing criminal charges - in gross violation of critical educational tenets: freedom of speech, expression, and intellectual inquiry.
Faculty and staff at universities around the country are standing up and speaking out to protect their students. Defending students in institutional disciplinary hearings is one way to do that, so a number of experienced lawyers and faculty members have joined together to provide this training in order to prepare you for defending students in disciplinary hearings.
To register (note: deadline is 5:00 PM, May 8. After that the form will no longer be available) Faculty/Staff Training Registration Form (cryptpad.fr)
