The Reality of Life Under Apartheid with Psychotherapist Talha AlAli
A number of supporters of the Palestinian cause have asked the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) if we could organise online presentations on different aspects of Palestinian history and activism.
In response to this request, IPSC will be hosting five online Zoom sessions Mondays at 7pm (2:00 PM EDT) The format will be a 40 minute presentation, followed by a 20 minute Q&A.
Mon 10th June, 7pm: The reality of ‘Life under Apartheid’: This session will present, from a Palestinian perspective, the reality of what it means to live under the Israeli apartheid system of control.
Presenter: Talha AlAli is a Palestinian psychotherapist who’s also an activist, hip-hop artist and a human rights defender. Talha lived his teenage years in the West Bank during the second Intifada and started fighting for political change and social justice in the early 2000s through music and theatre. He then worked with civil society NGOs including Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), ActionAid, and is now working with Amnesty International in Ireland.
As the number of online Zoom participants is limited it is necessary for those interested to register as soon as possible in order to ensure access to the sessions - [Online] Solidarity Sessions: Educational Seminars on Palestine - Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (ipsc.ie)
