Institute of Social Studies Announces Zoom Seminar in Four-Part Series: ‘October 7, 2023: Terrorism or National Liberation Movement?

The first webinar, titled ‘October 7, 2023: Terrorism or National Liberation Movement?’ will delve into the Hamas movement, its history and evolution, the events of October 7 and their aftermath, the Israeli military campaign in Gaza, and the suspension of aid and support to UNRWA.

Notable participants include the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, Francesca Albanese; Tareq Bacon, President of the board of ‘Al-Shabaka’; Dr. Shahd Hammouri, a lecturer in law at the University of Kent – UK; and Dr. Jeff Handmaker from the International Institute of Social Studies.
