We're calling for folks to come out in support of 9 Danbury City Council members who are being attacked for signing a public letter asking Congress to call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire.
WHERE: 155 Deer Hill Ave Danbury (City Hall)
WHEN: Sunday April 7 at 1:00 PM
BRING: Signs and kuffiyehs
WHY: The advocacy for ceasefire is rapidly gaining support, and we need to continue it all over Connecticut.
Last week, there was an attempt to repeal the Bridgeport ceasefire resolution (passed on January 2). Because of strong community solidarity, the council voted to preserve the resolution.
18 members of the Connecticut General Assembly have signed onto a letter calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire. More can be expected.
Let's continue the support in Danbury on Sunday!
