Lewiston Ceasefire Resolution

Lewiston organizers have been working tirelessly to pass a resolution in their city calling for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.

After months of speaking out and showing up for the people of Gaza at Lewiston City Council meetings, the council has finally included such an item on its agenda.

On Tuesday night, April 2nd, the council will take up the resolution.

If you live in Lewiston, please be sure to submit written testimony to the City Council so they know this issue is important to their constituents.

If you don’t live in Lewiston, but know someone who does, please pass along this call to action.

And, all supporters of the resolution are encouraged to come to the City Council meeting to testify (esp. if you are a Lewiston resident) or just to show solidarity.

While we do not know exactly when the item will be taken up on Tuesday, it is item 10 of 15 on the agenda and the meeting begins at 7 pm. In solidarity, Maine Voices for Palestinian Rights (MVPR)
