National Arab American Heritage Month: Tribute to the Palestinian Heritage: A Fundraiser for the Arab America Foundation

Commemorate Arab American heritage and culture with us at our event on April 18th, 2024 - "Celebrating Arab American Resilience and Diversity"

Join us as we honor the invaluable contributions of Arab Americans and commemorate National Arab American Heritage Month with public officials, community leaders, cultural performances, and authentic Arab cuisine. This year, we will pay tribute to the Palestinian heritage and identity.

Each year since the creation of National Arab American Heritage Month (NAAHM), the Arab America Foundation has hosted a national event in Washington, DC, commemorating National Arab American Heritage Month (NAAHM).

Throughout April, the Arab America Foundation formally recognizes the achievements of Arab Americans through the celebration of National Arab American Heritage Month. Across the country, cultural institutions, school districts, municipalities, state legislatures, public servants, and non-profit organizations issue proclamations and engage in special events celebrating our community’s rich heritage and numerous contributions to society.

In 2017, Arab America took the concept of cultural heritage and excitingly turned it into a national movement where Arab Americans and their supporters recognized it during the same month for the same duration of time, hence, designating April as National Arab American Heritage Month.

Since then, the number of states, governmental offices, organizations, and corporations has increased in their recognition of April as National Arab American Heritage Month. Now, each year, our grass-roots network of over 250 Arab American volunteers, educators, and social justice activists in 28 states gathers proclamations from their states, counties, municipalities, and local school districts and organizes numerous events.

This year, we pay tribute to the rich heritage and identity of the Palestinian people. We aim to highlight Palestine's cultural richness, traditions, and historical depth, reflecting centuries of resilience and creativity. Our program features vibrant traditional music, dance, art, and spoken word, illuminating the diverse and rich Palestinian heritage. Join us as we honor the legacy of Palestine and its enduring impact on the world.
