4/17 (in person, NYC) 6:30 PM - Rally for Palestinian Prisoners Day @ Union Square (PYM)

NEW YORK: Next Wednesday, April 17, we (the Palestinian Youth Movement [PYM]) will hold a rally in Union Square at 6:30pm for Palestinian Prisoners Day, a commemoration of the thousands of Palestinians that have been kidnapped and forced behind the bars of Zionist detention centers.

Since the birth of the “israeli” nation-building project, the Zionists and their accomplices have used prisons to try to defang our movement, locking up revolutionaries like Khalida Jarrar, Ahmad Qatamesh, Wisam Rafeedie, and others. Last week, political prisoner Walid Daqqah died from a rare form of bone cancer after the zionists refused to provide him with proper care or medical leave. Palestinians like Daqqah, who smuggled his own sperm out of prison to birth his daughter Milad, teach us life in the darkest hours of this genocide.

This year, Israel kidnapped and imprisoned thousands more during their attack on Gaza. We will continue to mobilize and rally and march until our people are free from the imperial dungeons of the world.

Our prisoners teach us life and dedication to organizing and they are always the compass of our struggle. Until victory and return. We’ll see you in the streets.
