Saturday, April 20, 1:00 PM EDT - in person at the Holocaust Museum, 100 Raoul Wallenberg Pl SW, Washington, DC MEET outside the 14th St., SW, Entrance (not the one on the other side (15th St.)
Interactive GAZA VIGIL @ the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum
We'll bring some signs that say things like "Never Again Includes Palestine," and "Why Must Palestinians Pay for the Holocaust?" Please bring your own signs. We'll also have flyers to hand out explaining "What We Stand For." OR you can print and fold your own supply using the attached WORD doc. (Newbies can read the flyer to better understand the idea behind the vigils.)
Our interactive vigil in that location is deeply justified by the big sign on the front wall that urges visitors to "Think about what you saw the next time you witness hatred, injustice, or genocide." The vigil visually expresses what we think, and asks visitors to also think and to speak out. We invite sincere conversation. The space is safe. Museum guards are present to protect all visitors, but especially demonstrators, who might encounter hostility. It is a very safe and effective place to make meaningful contact with hundreds of visitors.
Here is a link if you would like to print your own flyers, or view the text to adapt for Holocaust Center Vigils in other towns. (two-sided, one page flyers. fold into a six-panel handout) Flyer: holocaust museum vigil for Palestine flyer.pdf(Review) - Adobe cloud storage
