This Lent, a global movement is walking in prayerful solidarity with the people of Gaza. Join Churches for Middle East Peace and Christians from around the world walking 22 miles, the distance from Gaza City to Rafah, during the Lenten season. Our prayer is that this Lent as we meditate on the life and passion of Jesus, we might deepen our solidarity with what our Palestinian sisters and brothers are experiencing daily. With our bodies we will prayerfully map Gaza onto our own cities in pursuit of:
1. Enduring and Sustained Ceasefire / 2. Immediate flow of life saving food, water, aid, fuel and humanitarian assistance / 3. Release of all hostages – both the Israeli hostages held by Hamas – and the Palestinian hostages held in the Israeli prison system / 4. End of occupation so a just-peace can begin.
Walk with us for as long or as little as you are able, give as you are called.
