March 17th @11AM ET - on Zoom and in person at the Community Church of Boston, 565 Boylston St, Boston, MA
"How to Survive a Genocide as the World Changes?" with Mazin Qumsiyeh - Here we will explore briefly the ongoing genocide in Palestine, paid for by US Taxpayers and supported by Western Governments. The majority of the conversation will focus on the role of the masses of people in a changing world order. In other words, can we have a chance to get "the energy to act, and at least the possibility of sending this spinning top of a world in a different direction..." (Howard Zinn).
• Prof. Mazin Qumsiyeh is a teacher and researcher at Bethlehem and Birzeit Universities. He served as faculty at the U. Tennessee, Duke, and Yale Universities. He and his wife have started a number of projects such as a clinical genetics laboratory that serves cancer and other patients. Qumsiyeh has published books and papers on topics ranging from cultural heritage to biodiversity to cancer. He serves on the board of many Palestinian youth and service organizations.
Programs are held on the second floor in the Lothrop Auditorium.
Lunch will be served after the program.
