Come rain or shine, our Irish community will be parading.  And, in response to the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign's call on Irish America to stand with Palestine, members of the Maine Coalition For Palestine and MVPR will be handing out flyers along the parade route.

The parade organizers are not open to Palestine rights supporters marching in the parade, but why not add to the festive colors on the sidewalks of Portland by wearing the Palestinian colors, or a keffiyeh, or waving a Palestinian flag alongside an Irish one?

After all, the militant sympathy of Ireland with Palestine should not surprise anyone, in light of the shared history of occupation and struggle !!!
