note: Although this is a UK centered event, PSC is a dynamic and effective organization that U.S. activists can learn from…
Trade unionists have been central to organising and mobilising for Palestine in the UK
Palestinian trade unions are also at the forefront of their people’s struggle. They’ve called upon workers, the wider trade union movement and all people of conscience globally to take action to demand a ceasefire and that our governments and institutions stop arming Israel.
Want to hear more about this call from Palestinian trade unions and what you can do to respond? Join the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) this Wednesday 7 February at 6 PM UK time (1:00 PM EDT) for an online event: Trade Unions against the arms trade with Israel
This event will be the first in a series that we’ve organised together with our trade union partners, highlighting the voices of Palestinian workers, trade unionists and specialists in key areas who want to speak to the solidarity movement here in Britain, to keep us informed and to deliver a clear message about what actions we can be taking in support of Palestine.
We’re launching this series on 7 February as a part of the workplace day of action on that day. Take action at your workplace that day, and get inspired, informed and mobilised in our webinar that evening!
Wednesday’s event will feature speakers from trade unions in Palestine and here in Britain, and key information about concrete actions trade unionists can take as a part of our campaign to #BoycottBarclays over its complicity in Israel’s genocidal violence against the Palestinian people.
If you’re not a member of a trade union, you should join one! But in the meantime, you can still sign up for this online event to hear from Palestinian workers and trade unions in Britain about how to get involved.
