Israel-Palestine: How to Inclusively Navigate Workplace Tensions (Webinar)
How to manage workplace tensions related to the struggle in Israel-Palestine. We explore inclusive strategies, together.
By Conversations Without Walls
The recent extreme violence in Israel and Gaza has had repercussions and caused tensions around the world. Here in Canada, where we have supporters of both Israel and the Palestinians well represented, we have witnessed these tensions in various settings: media, educational institutions, workplaces, on the streets.
This event is for leaders and managers who need a better understanding of the complexities of this struggle, or those who feel a connection to recent developments, managing tensions in an equitable and inclusive manner can be elusive.
The presenters will cover the following topics:
• A brief history of the struggle over Israel-Palestine (1917-2024)
• The effect of trauma on Palestinians, Jews, and other invested parties
• Complexity of words and subjects in the Israel-Palestine context
• Navigating two groups of victims, multiple truths, and binary beliefs
• Dealing with the rise of antisemitism and anti-Palestinian racism
• The ability of EDI/DEI frameworks to address such issues.
