Michael Spath of the Indiana Center for Middle East Peace (ICMEP) will be interviewing Cindy and Craig Corrie, parents of the young American activist, Rachel Corrie.  March 16, 2024 will mark the 21st anniversary of Rachel being crushed to death by an Israeli Army bulldozer as she stood in front of it attempting to prevent the demolition of the home of a Gazan family with whom she'd been staying.

ICMEP hosted the Corries in 2013, the tenth anniversary of Rachel's murder.  In the ensuing 21 years, the Corries sued the Israeli military (for one shekel) to force them to release the truth about their daughter's murder (Israel created an entire propaganda campaign against Rachel) as well as the Caterpillar Company.

The Corries established the   Rachel Corrie Foundation for Peace & Justice to honor their daughter, devoting their lives to engaging with US government officials and activist groups to seek justice in Palestine and Israel.  I remember that when they were in Fort Wayne in 2013, Cindy remarked, "In 2012, a reporter asked me about the Israel judge who, when the not-guilty verdict was read, told us that Rachel should have moved out of the way of the bulldozer.  I replied, "I don't think Rachel should have moved.  I think we all should have been there, standing with her."

We'll catch up with the Corries about Rachel's memory, the ongoing work of the Rachel Corrie Foundation, and their reflections on the genocide Israel is inflicting upon Gaza today.
