Join UNJPPI on February 4th for a screening of Palestinian pastor Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac’s “Christ in the Rubble” sermon. We will hear from a Palestinian-Canadian Christian speaker, followed by a report from Chris Ferguson, Canadian member of the recent international Christian delegation to Palestine.
Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac is the associate pastor of Christmas Evangelical Lutheran Church Bethlehem and is the academic dean of Bethlehem Bible College in Palestine. He offers a prophetic and compelling message to the wider church amidst current violence in Palestine/Israel. This sermon has been viewed internationally and was recently quoted as evidence in the proceedings at the International Court of Justice.
Chris Ferguson is a Canadian pastor, theologian and social justice advocate from the United Church of Canada. He recently returned from a trip to the occupied West Bank in Palestine as a part of an international Christian delegation. They visited churches, spent time with Palestinian and Jewish families, and met with political leaders. Chris will share context from his years of advocacy, as well as anecdotes and insight from his time on the ground in Palestine/Israel.
